Pines Acres Recreation Destination, Raymond, NH

Okay, my family and I just stayed at Pine Acres Campground located in Raymond, NH...
I had been there with my mother when I was a young teen and remembered it to be a good time... But apparently time has not been so kind to this camping area.

The biggest disappointment of all would have to be that the two water slides they offered, were both closed down for repairs the whole weekend of our stay...
(We had called the number on their website to make sure that they would be open, since this was the main reason for our stay here for the kids.)
Apparently, there is a lack of communication between the two offices...

So, second choice would be to go swimming down at their small lakeside swimming area...
Which we found to have at least 12 dog poops all along the edge of the lake where the kids would be running or building sand castles... Gross.
(In all fairness a man did come around a few minutes after arriving at the beach with a rake, shovel and a trash bag to rake out the dog turds, but even so, we didn't want the kids playing there anymore.)

Our site was clear of trash and debris, but the fire pit was built out of cement blocks with exposed rebar sticking out and random rocks where one of the walls is missing... We did notice that the surrounding campsites had nicer fire pits with a grill like cage.

The picnic table was extremely pitted and rotted, it looked as though it was about to fall apart. Apparently, they only replace your table if you complain, though they had a small pile of new in box picnic tables sitting outside of a garage area near the teen arcade.

The closest restrooms were at the pavilion...
They consisted of two bathroom stalls, which is just fine.
Although, the mens room had both stalls clogged with feces.
And the women's room only had one stall operating...
Some carved something in the door about being a blond chick...
And there was an empty nip on the floor of the closed stall...

The pavilion held a rather loud Father's day dance, which was still nice for the kids when they played a few good songs...
(I found it a little odd that a song about a guy asking a girl when she was gonna give it to him was being played... Odd choice for a Father's day dance...)
The popcorn offered was $3.00 for a small bag... So we passed.

The pavilion was less than remarkable in it's self...
The icicle lights that only half blinked or half worked were not that exciting.
Plus, there was graffiti on the building that definitely was not family friendly...
Such as things like, 'Slut bag', 'Butt Slut', and 'Smoke Weed'....

The closest shower/bathroom building to our site looked as though Chuck Norris had kicked the screen door in and then proceeded to punch the siding making a hole.
The shower was ultra uncomfortable as well, since the water was either scorching hot or ice cold...

The closest playground to our site consisted of two ride on animals on springs, which were falling apart and the bolts were deemed useless... The playground also had a "swing" set, and I use "swing" very lightly, considering one swing was missing and the other was hanging broken, unable to be used. Also, the slide was missing.
The only nice playground equipment near us was a wooden train to play in.

They did have a baseball field, a horseshoe area, a basketball court and a volleyball court with a net that has seen better days.

The only positive things about the campground was the escort to our campsite and how the man helped us back our camper into the site.
The also had a second playground which was in better shape, but was quite some distance from our site...
They also offer a small mini golf course as well as a skate park for the teens.
Another plus was a small store at the office and the kid across the street that had a wheel barrel full of fire wood for $4.00.
The also had an adult arcade which I did not visit since it was on the other side of the park and a teen arcade that was fairly entertaining and large.

This campground is apart of Morgan Recreation Vacations.
And we can honestly say, that we will not be visiting any of their parks in the future.

I don't think I can portray clearly how awkward it was having to answer my ten year olds question as to what a butt slut was...
