Jurassic Park

I just finished reading Jurassic Park by author Michael Crichton.

Now I am sure that most of you have probably already viewed the film version of this best selling novel, Jurassic Park in 1993...

But, the book is actually quite different from the film you may have seen.
I believe the novel goes into much more detail about exactly what went wrong during the famous "first tour" of Jurassic Park to the Dr. Grant, Dr. Sattler, Dr. Malcolm, Timmy, Lex, and Mr. Gennaro...

It goes into the science and funding of the start of making the actual dinosaurs as well as reasons why they are sick, the discoveries of dinosaurs near the island, as well as why the power went down in the first place.

Occurrences in the novel also differ from the film, which I will not reveal and spoil such a wonderfully intriguing read. You will just have to read and find out for yourself...

Take time to enjoy a great novel that may have been overlooked after seeing the film version! I give this book an A+! Don't miss out.

Atonement

I just finished reading Atonement by Ian McEwan..

Honestly, I wasn't personally a fan of this novel.
Though it was written quite beautifully and very detailed...
I kind of thought it was boring and wanted something to actually happen.

The beginning is slightly exciting and very interesting with different perspectives,
but the middle in very dull and detailed.
Then the ending is disappointing and still slightly dull...

Like I said, this was beautifully written and the storyline is definitely worth reading, but this must not be my taste for novels.

The story follows the innocent mind of a young girl who ruins a man's life,
with just one little lie... Her older sister hates her for it as well, for she was in love with this man and he was sentenced to time in prison and looked at poorly after the false accusations of this young girl.
It goes on to the man fighting in the war and trying to survive so he can see his love again, as well as how the young girl matures and realizes what she did while trying to mend things with her sister and lives forever with guilt.

This book is set back in the 1930's or 1940's during the war.

I personally wanted to reach into the book and punch the girl for being so arrogant.
